Information We Collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, city, the service you are interested in, project details, appointment requests, and anything you tell us in forms, calls, texts, emails, or chat.
Information from lead sources. If you contact us through an advertising lead form (such as a Meta lead form), we receive the details you submitted there.
Information collected automatically. Your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies.
Conversations with our assistants. Our website chat assistant and our voice assistant are AI, not people. They answer questions and can help schedule a consultation. We process what you type or say in order to respond, and we save chat transcripts and call records so we can follow up on your request.
How We Use Your Information

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, and the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who visited this site. These tools run when you visit and may collect your IP address, cookie identifiers, and the pages you view, including the service you choose when you submit our form. Under California law, this kind of advertising use can count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not sell personal information for money.
Your choices. To opt out of advertising use, use the Your Privacy Choices link in our footer. When you opt out, the Meta Pixel stops loading on this site, we clear its cookies, and we tell Google not to use your visit for advertising. We also treat the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out automatically. SMS / Text Messaging
By submitting your phone number and opting in through our website forms, you consent to receive text messages from The Oak Development regarding inquiries, scheduling, estimates, project updates, and notifications.
Opt-Out: Reply “STOP” to any of our messages to discontinue SMS communications at any time. Reply “HELP” for assistance, or contact us at info@theoakdevelopment.com. Message and data rates may apply.
Promotional Messages: You may separately consent to receive promotional texts about special offers and services. This consent is not required to use our services.
Data Sharing: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Calls and AI Assistants
Calls with our voice assistant may be recorded and transcribed so we can schedule your consultation and follow up. At the start of each call, the assistant tells you that it is an AI and that the call may be recorded. If you would rather not be recorded, say so and our team will call you directly. Chat transcripts and call records are stored in our lead-management tools.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it with service providers that help us operate: Make.com and Airtable (lead management), Cal.com (booking), Netlify (website hosting), Anthropic (the AI model behind our chat assistant), and Retell AI and Twilio (our voice assistant, calls, and texts). Google (analytics) and Meta (advertising measurement) receive website activity data as described above. We may also disclose information as required by law or to protect rights and safety.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. Ask us if you would like something deleted sooner.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what we collect, use, and share; to get a copy; to correct or delete it; to opt out of sharing for advertising; and not to be treated differently for using these rights.

Children
Our site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
